Vivo has quietly introduced the vivo Y31d, a new addition to the Y31 lineup that brings a larger battery and a 4G-only chipset. While it shares similarities with the Y31 and Y31 Pro, the Y31d stands out with a Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 processor and a higher-capacity battery.
Pricing is yet to be announced, but it is more than likely going to be a cheap phone given its budget specifications.
The vivo Y31d measures 166.6 x 78.4 x 8.39mm, with the Glow White variant slightly thicker at 8.49mm. It weighs 219g and carries an “IP69+” rating, offering protection against splashes, rain, high-pressure water jets, and submersion in up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes.
The phone features a plastic composite body with a metal camera island. On the front, it uses a 6.75-inch LCD with a 720 x 1,570 resolution. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 1,250 nits of brightness. A side-mounted fingerprint reader handles biometric authentication. The phone is available in Glow White and Starlight Gray.
Powering the vivo Y31d is the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 chipset, making it a 4G-only device. It is paired with either 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and offers 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
The phone supports dual nano-SIM cards, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and USB 2.0. NFC is not included, and there is no headphone jack. Audio is handled by stereo speakers with a claimed 400% volume boost. The device runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6 out of the box.
On the back, the vivo Y31d features a dual-camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera with an f/2.0 lens and a 2MP secondary sensor. For selfies, the phone includes an 8MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
Despite its relatively slim profile, the vivo Y31d packs a 7,200mAh BlueVolt battery. Vivo claims this delivers over 13 hours of MOBA gaming, more than 14 hours of navigation, or up to 45 hours of video playback.
The battery supports 44W FlashCharge, with vivo stating it can charge from 1% to 50% in 43 minutes. A bypass charging feature is also included for gaming while plugged in. The battery is rated for up to six years of use.
