Woman Traveling on Umrah Visa Admits to Prostitution in Saudi Arabia

A Pakistani woman traveling to Saudi Arabia on an Umrah visa was offloaded at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport after allegedly admitting during immigration questioning that she had previously engaged in prostitution during earlier visits to the Kingdom.

According to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), the passenger, identified as Anam, was stopped by immigration officials after her travel history and information raised suspicion during routine clearance.

During questioning, she reportedly told officials that a friend named Ilyas, who lives in Saudi Arabia, had arranged her current Umrah visa.

The woman also admitted that she had traveled to Saudi Arabia twice before, staying for around three months on each visit. According to the FIA, she confessed that she was involved in prostitution during both stays.

She further stated that her previous trips had been arranged by a man identified as Zeeshan, while another individual named Mani received her in Dammam and arranged her accommodation.

According to the FIA, the woman said she earned around Rs. 150,000 per month from the activities, with her visa and travel expenses deducted from her income. She also allegedly disclosed that all arrangements for her latest trip had been made by Ilyas and that she intended to work independently instead of through an agent.

Officials said a forensic examination of her mobile phone recovered multiple voice messages and photographs, which the woman reportedly admitted were linked to her previous activities and the purpose of her current visit.

The FIA said initial investigations suggest the case may involve human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation.

Following the inquiry, immigration authorities offloaded the passenger and transferred her to the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Karachi for further investigation and legal action.
