Did Islamabad Change Winter Timings for Schools and Colleges?

The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has confirmed that schools and colleges in Islamabad will continue following winter timings until February 16, 2026.

Earlier, winter timings had been scheduled to remain in effect until January 31, 2026. The FDE clarified that the schedule has now been extended, maintaining the same adjusted hours for all educational institutions under its ambit.

The clarification comes after reports suggested that schools and colleges in the Islamabad Capital Territory had resumed regular hours following the end of the winter schedule. The FDE stressed that these reports were incorrect.
