Punjab Council of the Arts has imposed a ban on seven stage artists for violating government SOPs, and has issued an official notification regarding the action.
According to the notification, actresses Hira Lal, Noori Shehzad, Rukhsana Multani, and Anchal Khan have been banned for two weeks. In addition, Um Chaudhry and Feroza Jatti have also been handed a two-week ban.
The council stated that the artists were not following the government’s SOPs during stage performances. It added that the performers were informed and warned multiple times. However, the violations reportedly continued despite repeated notices.
Officials said the move aims to maintain discipline in stage dramas and ensure compliance with official instructions.
The Punjab Council of the Arts further warned that strict action will continue in the future against anyone found breaching SOPs.
