CDA Seeks Young Talent for Ramzan Cricket Hunt 2026

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will hold open trials for its upcoming Ramzan Talent Hunt Cup 2026, aiming to identify promising cricketers for both men’s and women’s teams.

A total of 10 men’s teams will compete in the tournament, including eight top clubs from the recently concluded PCB tournament, while two teams will be selected through the open trials.

The event also offers participants a pathway to join the CDA Cricket Team for the upcoming Patron’s Trophy Grade-II 2026. The trials for men are scheduled for February 11-12, 2026, from 9:00am to 4:00pm at the CDA National Cricket Ground, F-7 Markaz, Islamabad.

Eligibility for the men’s trials requires players to have participated in First-Class Cricket, Grade-II Cricket, District Cricket/CCA Cricket, Division Cricket, Pakistan U-19, Pakistan Shaheens/Pakistan ‘A’, or National U-19 cricket within the last three years.

Participants must bring their original Form-B or Smart National Identity Card and two recent passport-sized color photographs. CDA officials have emphasized that Form-B will be preferred over CNIC and players without white uniforms will not be allowed to participate.

For women cricketers, the Talent Hunt trials will be conducted on February 13, 2026, from 9:00am to 4:00pm at the same venue. Selected players may get the opportunity to join the CDA Women Cricket Team.

Similar to the men’s trials, participants must present Form-B or Smart National Identity Card along with two recent passport-sized photographs, with Form-B being preferred.

The Talent Hunt Program has its roots in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on December 4, 2025, between CDA and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The MoU, signed by Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa along with PCB Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed, outlined measures to upgrade cricket grounds in Islamabad and promote youth cricket.

The agreement also emphasized gender inclusion, coaching, and training at international standards, providing a transparent platform for player selection.
