Nearly 30,000 Balochistan Residents Went Abroad for Jobs in Five Years

Details of individuals from Balochistan who moved abroad for employment over the past five years have been disclosed in the National Assembly. The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis submitted a written reply to the House, outlining country-wise data of Balochistan residents who left Pakistan in search of jobs during the period under review.

According to the official documents, a total of 29,813 individuals from Balochistan went abroad for employment over the last five years. The data provides a comprehensive overview of overseas labor migration from the province and highlights key destination countries for Baloch workers.

Saudi Arabia emerged as the top destination, with 12,770 individuals from Balochistan securing employment there. The documents further revealed that 8,141 people moved to the United Arab Emirates, while 3,806 individuals went to Qatar and 3,225 found employment in Oman.

Other Middle Eastern destinations included Bahrain, which received 632 workers from the province. In addition to the Middle East, Balochistan residents also sought overseas employment in Japan (323), China (204), the United Kingdom (105), Australia (72), Kuwait (64), Malaysia (42), New Zealand (33), the United States (29), Kyrgyzstan (23), Italy (24), Zambia (21), Canada (19), Korea (4), and one additional worker in Japan.

A further 275 individuals went to various other countries, reflecting the diverse range of labor destinations beyond the primary Middle Eastern countries.
