HKC has introduced the G27M5Pro gaming monitor under its Nebula series lineup, which is currently going for under $250.
Display and Performance Features
The G27M5Pro uses a Fast IPS panel with a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio. It supports an overclocked refresh rate of 340Hz and delivers a 1ms gray-to-gray response time.
The monitor uses a QD-Mini LED backlight system with 1,152 local dimming zones to improve brightness and contrast control. It reaches 550 nits of brightness in standard mode and up to 1,400 nits in HDR mode. The display is certified by VESA DisplayHDR 1400.
Color Accuracy and Image Quality
The panel supports 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut and 100 percent of the sRGB color space. HKC said the monitor is factory-calibrated and maintains an average Delta E value of 2 or less.
The display supports 10-bit color through 8-bit plus frame rate control processing, allowing it to display up to 1.07 billion colors.
Motion Handling and Gaming Enhancements
The monitor includes DIC 2.0 motion blur reduction technology, offering three levels of motion clarity adjustment. HKC stated that the system operates in conjunction with HDR and local dimming to maintain image contrast during fast motion.
The G27M5Pro also includes LCD light tracking technology, which reduces halo effects and improves responsiveness during rapid transitions.
Design and Connectivity
The monitor features a three-sided narrow-bezel design and a compact stand. The stand supports height adjustment, tilt, swivel, and pivot rotation.
Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 port, and a 3.5mm audio output. The monitor also supports variable refresh rate technology and includes a 100 × 100 mm VESA mount.
