The Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority (IHRA) has decided to launch strict action against unregistered healthcare facilities operating in the federal capital, issuing a final warning for compliance.
According to the authority, all unregistered healthcare establishments have been given 15 days to complete their registration process and submit the required documentation.
Facilities failing to comply within the stipulated time will face strict legal action.
IHRA stated that under the IHRA Act, continuing medical practice without official registration is illegal.
In cases of non-compliance, authorities may suspend registrations and seal clinics and medical centers operating without fulfilling legal requirements.
The authority further warned that healthcare facilities in Islamabad failing to meet regulatory conditions could face closure.
IHRA has also published on its official website a list of medical facilities that have not completed documentation requirements or failed to submit registration fees.
Officials say the move aims to improve healthcare standards and ensure safe medical services for citizens by regulating unauthorized medical establishments.
