The Federal Investigation Agency has made it mandatory for its officers to wear official uniforms while on duty.
In a press release issued on Tuesday, FIA Director General Dr Usman Anwar announced a new uniform policy aimed at strengthening discipline and reinforcing the agency’s professional identity.
Under the revised policy, all executive officials and officers belonging to the immigration and investigation cadres must wear the prescribed uniform during duty hours. The directive also applies to FIA executive officers from BPS-17 to BPS-22, including Pakistan Police Service officers serving in the agency.
The FIA stated that the move seeks to promote uniformity, improve discipline, and project a stronger institutional image. The agency added that enforcing a standardized dress code would help ensure more organized and effective delivery of public services.
