Mohammad Amir Joins New PSL Team for Rs. 5.40 Crore at PSL 11 Auction

Rawalpindi have strengthened their pace attack by acquiring seasoned left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir for Rs. 5.40 crore in the ongoing 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) player auction at Lahore’s Expo Center.

Mohammad Amir, renowned for his ability to swing the ball both ways and deliver breakthroughs in the powerplay, brings experience and control to Rawalpindi’s bowling unit.

His inclusion provides balance alongside young pace stars and overseas recruits, giving the franchise a potent mix of skill and experience.

It is worth noting, Mohammad Amir has a history with Rawalpindi as he used to play for Rawalpindi Rams in earlier national domestic T20 circuit.

This signing follows other high-profile acquisitions during the auction, including Rawalpindi securing Naseem Shah for Rs. 8.65 crore and New Zealand all-rounder Daryl Mitchell for Rs. 8.05 crore.

Earlier, Lahore Qalandars signed Haris Rauf for Rs. 7.60 crore after his standout Big Bash League campaign, Sialkot Stallionz picked up Sahibzada Farhan for Rs. 5.70 crore, and Karachi Kings added Pakistan T20 captain Salman Ali Agha for Rs. 5.85 crore.

With these marquee players now in place, PSL 11 is shaping up to feature some of the strongest squads in the league’s history.
