A majority Pakistani nationals were deported from various Gulf countries during 2025, according to a reports by 24News.
Saudi Arabia accounted for the largest number, returning 27,692 Pakistanis, followed by the United Arab Emirates with 6,794 deportations. Other Gulf states also contributed: Oman sent back 2,537 Pakistanis, Bahrain 786, Qatar 644, and Kuwait 163.
Officials said deportations were due to a variety of reasons, including absconding from employers, overstaying visas, illegal entry, imprisonment, lost passports, and blacklisting. Administrative violations, visa infractions, involvement in narcotics, begging, and other legal breaches were also cited.
Additional causes included refusal of entry at airports, expired visas, births abroad without proper documentation, and violations of immigration laws. Cases involving theft, visa cancellations, fake or forged documents, damaged passports, fraud, Interpol matters, and rejected asylum applications were also recorded.
The data underscores the ongoing challenges faced by Pakistani migrant workers and travelers in the Gulf, where strict immigration and labor regulations are enforced. Authorities emphasize that awareness, proper documentation, and compliance with local laws can help reduce the risk of deportation.
