Chief Traffic Officer Farhan Aslam directed officers to issue tickets and impound vehicles displaying “applied for” plates. Police will release such vehicles only after owners complete proper registration.

He also ordered strict legal action against individuals using counterfeit or fabricated number plates, stating that a number plate serves as the legal identity of a vehicle and concealing it is a violation of the law.

Traffic police urged motorists to register their vehicles on time and use number plates that meet the prescribed specifications to avoid penalties.
