Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced the launch of the “Maryam Ko Batayein” Helpline 1000 to provide immediate financial assistance to deserving families during the holy month of Ramadan.
Under the initiative, citizens facing severe financial hardship can directly contact Helpline 1000 to seek emergency relief. The chief minister stated that no deserving family that reaches out for help will be left unsupported during Ramadan.
According to the announced mechanism, eligible applicants will receive Rs. 10,000 within 24 hours after completing the required verification process. Citizens can apply through three channels: by calling Helpline 1000, using the official mobile application, or submitting their details through the online web portal. Applicants will be required to enter their CNIC number for registration.
To ensure transparency and prevent duplication, the government will verify applications through the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) and cross-check records with the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) database. Assistance will be provided only to those who qualify and are not already benefiting from other government relief schemes.
The chief minister said the system has been designed to provide quick, transparent and targeted financial support, ensuring that cash assistance reaches genuinely deserving families without delay.
