All theatres across Punjab will remain closed throughout the holy month of Ramadan, authorities confirmed on Tuesday.
According to an official notification issued by the Punjab Arts Council, theatre owners, license holders, and producers must fully comply with the decision during the fasting month.
Officials warned that strict action would be taken against anyone violating the order. The district administration will initiate disciplinary proceedings against theatres found operating during Ramadan.
The directive aims to ensure respect for the holy month across Pakistan, where Ramadan is observed with religious devotion and social restraint.
Authorities have instructed theatre managements to cooperate fully to avoid penalties and enforcement action.
