The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced a gas supply schedule for Karachi and nearby areas for Ramadan.
Under the plan, consumers will receive gas from 3:00am to 9:00am for Sehri and from 3:30pm to 10:00pm for Iftar. The company will suspend supply outside these hours to manage demand across its network.
SSGC stated that it will conduct gas pressure profiling from 9:00am to 3:30pm and again from 10:00pm to 3:00am during Ramadan to improve pressure management.
The utility also noted that the country’s gas reserves are declining by approximately 10 percent annually, which has widened the gap between supply and demand.
According to the company, the revised schedule aims to facilitate consumers during meal preparation times for Sehri and Iftar throughout Ramadan.
