Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik has announced special arrangements to ensure uninterrupted gas supply to the public during the holy month of Ramazan.
The minister said gas supply will be available from 3:00 am to 10:30 pm throughout Ramazan. He stated that special operational measures have already been completed to avoid shortages at peak times.
Ali Pervaiz Malik said that due to timely planning and improved management, gas availability this year has been significantly better than last winter. Additional gas arrangements have also been finalized to further facilitate consumers during the holy month.
To ensure effective monitoring, situation rooms have been established at the head offices of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited. Regional offices have been directed to intensify network monitoring, particularly during Sehri and Iftar timings.
The minister also announced the activation of a complaint registration system for public convenience. Citizens can lodge gas-related complaints through the 1199 helpline. Managing Directors of the gas companies will personally oversee complaint resolution, while a robo-call system will be used to confirm consumer satisfaction. Consumers will also have the option to report unresolved issues by pressing the “unsatisfied” button.
Malik said all possible steps are being taken to provide maximum relief to the public during Ramazan.
