KP Govt to Recruit 270 School Employees

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has initiated the recruitment of 270 lower-grade employees in boys’ public schools across Mansehra District to strengthen administrative support and improve education standards.

District Education Officer Hidayatullah Khan said the department has started appointing 270 watchmen in government primary, middle, and high schools across the district.

He added that authorities first filled vacant teaching posts and are now addressing support staff shortages to ensure quality education in public sector schools.

He said parents-teachers councils at each school were consulted and had submitted recommendations to help improve academic standards while addressing institutional needs.

Meanwhile, the district administration in Torghar District has launched new initiatives to boost literacy and enroll out-of-school children, particularly girls.

Deputy Commissioner Anwar Zeb Khan said the administration is focusing equally on male and female education to improve the district’s literacy rate.

In a separate development, the district administration has begun training sessions for e-stamp paper vendors to reduce pressure on Bank of Khyber branches issuing notary public documents.

E-stamp papers, introduced at the start of 2026, initially created difficulties as only the central branch in Mansehra was authorized to issue them. Residents from Balakot, Oghi, Darband, and Baffa-Pakhal had to travel long distances to obtain the documents.

Assistant Commissioner Sana Fatima said authorities will launch e-stamp paper sales through trained vendors across the district after February 20 to facilitate citizens and reduce congestion at bank branches.
