The Next Record Breaking Battery Phone May Come From Vivo

A vivo smartphone with a battery capacity of more than 10,000 mAh may be in development, according to a new leak. The device is currently said to be undergoing internal testing.

Tipster Digital Chat Station disclosed in a post on Weibo that vivo is testing a handset equipped with a whopping 12,000 mAh battery, which would allow it to beat the current record holder, the Honor Power 2.

According to the leak, the device uses a 4.53V single-cell silicon battery with a rated capacity of 10,000 mAh. Its typical capacity is reportedly between 11,000 mAh and 12,000 mAh.

The phone is not expected to launch in the near term, as it will require extensive testing before it is released. The report also suggests it is unlikely to be positioned as a flagship device. Instead, it may arrive as a mid-range model or launch under the iQOO brand.

Several manufacturers have introduced smartphones with 10,000 mAh or larger batteries in recent months.

Honor launched the Win and Win RT, both equipped with 10,000 mAh batteries. The company later introduced the Honor Power 2 with a 10,080 mAh battery. Realme also released the Realme P4 Power, which features a 10,001mAh battery.
