The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board (KPTBB) launched a crackdown on the illegal sale of government-issued textbooks marked “Not for Sale” in the Hashtnagri area of Peshawar. The board sealed a private bookshop and confiscated textbooks meant for free distribution.
Chairman Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board (KPTBB) Abidullah Kakakhel ordered the action. Secretary Dr. Zainullah Garwaki and the Assistant Commissioner Peshawar supervised the raid.
The team sealed Abdullah Book Agency after finding government textbooks being sold at the shop. Officials seized the stock on the spot and shut down the premises.
The board has directed registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against the shop owner, Abdullah. KPTBB stated that it will continue strict action against anyone involved in the illegal sale of government-provided textbooks.
