Annual Exams Schedule Announced for Lahore Schools

The annual examination schedule for government schools in Lahore has been finalized, with exams set to begin on March 9, 2026, according to an official notification issued by education authorities.

The examinations will be conducted in two shifts. The morning session will run from 9 am to 12 pm, while the afternoon session will take place from 1 pm to 4 pm. On Fridays, the second shift will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm.

According to the schedule, first-grade students will appear in English on the opening day, while second graders will take General Knowledge.

Third-grade students will begin with Islamic Studies or Ethics, and fourth graders will sit for Mathematics as their first paper.

For fifth grade, the first paper will be Islamic Studies or Ethics. Sixth-grade students will start with Mathematics, while seventh graders will appear in Computer Science and Arabic. Eighth-grade students will also begin with Mathematics.

The schedule includes assessments in Quran Recitation, Quran Translation, and Tajweed Rules, along with special exams to evaluate Reading, Listening, and Speaking skills.

For eighth-grade students, papers under the School-Based Assessment (SBA) system will be conducted in Mathematics, Urdu, English, and Science at designated centers.

Chief Executive Officers of the relevant districts have been directed to strictly implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the End-of-Year SBA 2026 to ensure transparency and uniformity in the examination process.
