Nubia has introduced the nubia Neo 5 GT at MWC Barcelona 2026. The device is aimed at young gamers and Gen Z users, with a strong focus on cooling technology, dedicated gaming controls, and AI-based features including a gaming coach anime waifu.
The nubia Neo 5 GT features a flat rear panel without a camera bump, rounded edges, and support for a 90° charging cable. It also includes stereo dual speakers with DTS:X Ultra, an X-Axis linear motor for enhanced haptic feedback, and RGB lighting that responds during gameplay.
For gaming input, the phone offers 550Hz Neo Triggers 5.0, enabling four-finger control. It delivers sub-5.5ms latency and a 3049Hz touch sampling rate. Magic Touch 3.0 keeps the display responsive even with wet or sweaty fingers.
On the front, the phone is equipped with a 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED display. The panel supports a 144Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness. It also carries SGS-certified Eye Care technology to help reduce eye strain during extended use.
The device runs on the MediaTek D7400 4nm processor, paired with LPDDR5 memory rated at 6400Mbps. Nubia manages performance through its NeoTurbo Engine to maintain steady frame rates. A 360° Game Antenna ensures stable connectivity regardless of how the phone is held.
The Neo 5 GT is certified to deliver 120FPS gameplay on Garena Free Fire and MLBB, and it supports 90FPS on Delta Force following the Mid-Season update.
Cooling is a key highlight. The phone includes a built-in active cooling fan, making it the only device in its class with this feature. It also integrates a 29,508mm² cooling area and a Through-Flow Duct Design that directs airflow across the CPU and battery to manage heat during long gaming sessions.
The Nubia Neo 5 GT features AI Copilot Demi 2.0 includes features such as a Gaming Coach, Gaming Chatbot, and Auto-Chat reply. Additional AI tools include AI Memory, AI Scam Alert, AI Image and Text Generation, and AI Translate.
The nubia Neo 5 GT comes with a rather basic camera setup, including a 50MP main camera and a second auxiliary lens that is mostly just there for show. Video recording is capped at 1080p 30 fps.
For selfies, it features a 16MP front-facing camera.
The phone houses a 6,210 mAh dual-cell battery. It supports up to 80W fast charging, while the EU version supports 45W PD charging. The 5% Extreme Mode provides up to 23 minutes of gaming or up to 29 hours of standby time. Bypass Charging allows the device to draw power directly during gaming sessions without charging the battery.
The nubia Neo 5 GT will begin its global rollout in Southeast Asia in March, starting at $464.
