Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved the launch of the “Rehmat Card” scheme to provide financial assistance to widows and orphaned children.
The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by the chief minister on Thursday. Officials informed the meeting that financial support of up to Rs. 100,000 would be provided to widows and orphaned children under the Rehmat Card program.
In the first phase, more than 40,000 families are expected to benefit from the initiative, which will be launched after Eid. According to the briefing, widows and orphaned children will receive Rs. 25,000 each through the scheme.

Applications can also be submitted through the designated web portal after providing the required details.
Citizens may contact the call center for guidance and assistance in completing the application process.
Applicants can visit their local Zakat offices to submit applications and receive support with registration.
