Punjab authorities have introduced the ‘Green Property Certificate’, an online property verification system aimed at protecting citizens from fraud and streamlining land transactions.
Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan presided over the launch ceremony, which was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Muhammad Ahmar Ali, Assistant Commissioner Ashfaq Rasool, Land Records Center In-charge Muhammad Asif, GIS Manager Luqman Haider, and other officials.
The Punjab government said the service will safeguard the public against fake documents and land disputes while reducing the time and costs of property verification.
Officials added that the initiative forms part of broader efforts to digitize land records and enhance transparency in property dealings.
Separately, DC Rizwan inspected the local vegetable market, reviewing auction processes, supply and demand conditions, and wholesale prices.
She stressed strict compliance with official price regulations, directed authorities to prominently display rate lists, and warned traders against hoarding or creating artificial shortages.
Rizwan emphasized that ensuring the quality of food at fixed prices remains a top priority and that immediate legal action will be taken against any violations.
