The UAE’s National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has urged residents to move to safe locations and stay put as the country responds to an ongoing missile threat.
The authority stressed that residents should follow official updates and avoid relying on unverified sources.
NCEMA advised that if an alert is issued in your area, you should take immediate shelter until an “all clear” signal is announced.
Residents were warned against filming or recording during alerts. Those in vehicles were instructed to calmly reach their destination and then move to the nearest safe place.
The UAE Ministry of Defense reported that its air defense systems intercepted six ballistic missiles and 125 drones on March 5 alone.
Since the start of what the UAE has called “Iranian aggression,” the country has detected 196 ballistic missiles and 1,072 drones, of which 1,001 were intercepted.
Additionally, eight cruise missiles have been destroyed, and 71 drones fell within UAE territory.
Authorities emphasized the importance of vigilance and adherence to safety protocols as air defense systems continue to protect the country.
