Balochistan Launches Green Bus Service in Another City

The Balochistan government has launched the Green Bus Service in Turbat, making it the second city in the province where the public transport system has been introduced.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti described the Green Bus Service as a gift for the people of Turbat and said the initiative aims to improve travel facilities for residents.

According to the chief minister, the service will initially operate with four buses running within Turbat town over a route spanning 18.4 kilometers. The buses will operate across 18 bus stops and are expected to carry around 4,500 passengers daily.

Bugti also announced that the provincial government plans to introduce another transport service in Turbat next year. The upcoming Pink Bus Service, which will be exclusively for women, will be launched to provide safer and more convenient travel options.

“It will be a gift for the women of Turbat whom we want to provide maximum travel facilities,” the chief minister said during the ceremony.

Several provincial leaders and officials attended the event, including Senior Minister Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, Finance Minister Shoaib Nosherwani, Revenue Minister Asim Kurd, and Parliamentary Secretary Mir Asghar Rind, along with other government representatives.
