Government Approves Plan to Modernize Information Dept Building

The government has decided to construct a new state-of-the-art building to bring all rented offices of the Information Department under one roof. Funds have been approved for the revamping and modernization of the building.

Instead of demolishing the existing DGPR building, it has been decided to revamp and upgrade it so that it can be equipped with modern facilities and advanced equipment. The revamping and construction project will span two financial years.

After the completion of the new building, all offices of the Information and Culture Department will be shifted under one roof.

According to the Information Department, once the building is fully overhauled and equipped with modern facilities, both employees and the public will benefit from improved services and better facilities.
