Oppo said it will increase prices for some of its smartphones starting March 16, according to a notice published on the company’s official online store. The change comes as smartphone manufacturers face rising costs for components such as memory and storage.
The company said the price adjustment follows a “careful evaluation” of higher costs for key hardware, including high-speed storage components. The new prices will take effect on March 16, 2026.
The adjustment will mainly affect several existing models in Oppo’s lineup. The company said devices in the Oppo A series and K series will see price increases.
Some OnePlus smartphones will also be included in the pricing adjustment.
However, Oppo said not all of its product lines will be affected. Premium devices in the Find series and Reno series will retain their current pricing for now. The company also confirmed that its Oppo Pad tablet lineup will not be part of the adjustment.
Oppo said the price change is necessary to maintain product quality and overall user experience as supply costs continue to rise.
Memory and storage components are among the most expensive parts used in modern smartphones, and their prices can change depending on global demand and supply conditions.
Oppo’s decision reflects a broader trend across the smartphone industry, where manufacturers are responding to rising component costs.
Several companies have already hinted at or implemented similar price adjustments. Brands such as Vivo and Xiaomi have suggested that higher component costs could result in more expensive smartphones.
Some of these changes are already visible. Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi recently increased the price of the Redmi Turbo 5 by 100 yuan in China, while Samsung has raised prices for Galaxy phones in the US, India, and several other regions.
