The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan has granted a corporate restructuring license to LSE Ventures Limited, increasing the number of licensed corporate restructuring companies in the country to three.
SECP said corporate restructuring companies play a key role in reviving financially distressed businesses by helping them reorganize operations and restructure their liabilities.
According to the regulator, it has developed a comprehensive framework for corporate restructuring in Pakistan. The framework provides a mechanism for financially troubled or insolvent companies to reschedule their debts and undertake structured recovery plans aimed at restoring financial stability.
Separately, the SECP also granted a digital investment advisory license to Wealth Bridge Management, making it the first company in Pakistan to receive approval to operate as a digital investment advisory platform.
The firm will provide investors with advisory services through digital platforms, offering guidance on investment opportunities and portfolio management using online tools.
