The federal government has no immediate plan to increase Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) gas prices despite ongoing volatility in global energy markets.
Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik told the Senate Standing Committee on Finance that LNG tariffs are normally revised twice a year, in January and July. He said the government is not currently considering any off-cycle price adjustment despite the disruption in LNG supplies.
Officials also informed the committee that LPG supplies from Iran remain stable and have not been affected by the regional conflict.
