Honor is reportedly testing its upcoming Magic9 smartphone with several notable hardware features. According to a new rumor from China, the device is currently being tested with a 6.36-inch flat OLED display and a battery capacity of around 8,000mAh.
The leak suggests that the phone will include a periscope telephoto camera and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner integrated into the display. The device is also expected to support wireless charging.
If the information proves accurate, the Magic9 will be smaller than its predecessor. At the same time, it could include the largest battery ever used in a smartphone of similar size.
That would allow it to surpass the upcoming OnePlus 15T, which is expected to feature a 7,500mAh battery in a device with comparable dimensions.
It is still unclear when Honor plans to introduce the Magic9 series, which will likely include the Magic9 Pro.
For reference, the Magic8 and Magic8 Pro were announced in mid-October, suggesting that the launch of their successors is still several months away.
