Honor opened MWC 2026 with the announcement of the Magic V6, its latest foldable smartphone. The device sets a new benchmark for durability in foldables, becoming the first to offer both IP68 and IP69 ingress protection. It also arrives with flagship hardware and keeps the crown of being the thinnest foldable phone on the market.
Design and Display
The Magic V6 introduces a redesigned Super Steel Hinge constructed from what Honor describes as the strongest commercially available steel. The hinge has been tested internally for up to 500,000 folds and unfolds, making it the company’s most durable foldable to date.
Despite the added durability, the device remains slim and lightweight. When folded, it measures 8.75mm thick, matching the thickness of the iPhone 17 Pro Max, and weighs 219 grams in the white variant. Unfolded, it is just 4mm thick.
The main display is a 7.95-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2,172 × 2,352 pixels and a variable refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. It uses reinforced ultra-thin glass and features a 44% reduction in crease depth compared to previous generations. An anti-reflection layer improves visibility, and peak local brightness reaches 5,000 nits.
The outer display measures 6.52 inches and also uses LTPO 2.0 technology with a 1Hz to 120Hz refresh rate. It offers FHD+ resolution and up to 6,000 nits peak local brightness. Both displays support stylus input. The device will be offered in Red, Gold, White, and Black.
Internals and Software
Powering the Magic V6 is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. It is paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
The device runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. Honor has committed to providing seven major Android updates. The phone also introduces enhanced cross-platform integration with Apple devices. Honor Connect now enables two-way notification syncing between the Magic V6 and iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.
Mac users can transfer files seamlessly and use the Magic V6’s main screen as a secondary display.
Cameras
On the rear, the Magic V6 features a triple camera setup. The primary sensor is a 50MP unit with an f/1.6 aperture and optical image stabilization. It is accompanied by a 64MP periscope telephoto lens with a 70mm equivalent focal length and 3x optical zoom, built around a 1/2-inch sensor. The third camera is a 50MP ultrawide lens. Both the main and cover displays include 20MP selfie cameras.
Battery and Pricing
The Magic V6 houses a 6,660mAh silicon-carbon battery with 25% silicon content and an energy density of 921Wh/L. The phone supports 80W wired charging, 66W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. Honor has not yet announced official pricing or availability details for the Magic V6.
