ASUS Introduces New 4K 240Hz QD OLED Gaming Monitor

ASUS has introduced the ROG Strix XG27UQDMS, a new 27-inch gaming monitor equipped with a fourth-generation QD OLED panel. The display is currently available in China with a listed price of 4999 yuan, roughly $724.

The monitor targets high-end gaming setups by combining 4K resolution and a vibrant OLED panel.

Display and Performance

The ROG Strix XG27UQDMS features a 27-inch panel with a 3840 × 2160 resolution and a refresh rate of 240Hz. ASUS states the display offers a 0.03ms GtG response time, helping maintain clarity during fast-moving scenes.

The panel has a pixel density of 166 PPI, which contributes to sharper visuals and improved detail.

Color and HDR Capabilities

For color performance, the monitor supports 10-bit color depth and covers 99 percent of the DCI P3 color gamut.

The display carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification and can reach peak HDR brightness of up to 1000 nits.

Gaming Features

The monitor supports both NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technologies to reduce screen tearing and improve gameplay smoothness.

Additional gaming features include dynamic motion clarity for reducing ghosting and motion blur, a dynamic crosshair overlay designed for FPS games, and dynamic shadow enhancement to brighten darker scenes.

Smart Features

ASUS includes OLED screen protection Pro to help maintain panel longevity. This system includes functions such as image cleaning and boundary detection.

The monitor also features a Neo proximity sensor that can automatically turn off the display when the user moves away from the screen.

Design and Connectivity

The stand supports height adjustment, tilt, and rotation, and the monitor is also compatible with VESA wall mounting.

Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 port, two USB-A ports with USB 3.2 Gen1 speeds and KVM support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
