Barkat Frisian Agro Limited has completed the trial run of its newly established production facility in Faisalabad as part of its ongoing expansion and supply chain integration strategy.
In a notification submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the company said the facility located at Plot No. 51, Phase II, M-3 Industrial City, Faisalabad has successfully completed testing and is expected to begin full commercial production next month.
The plant is designed to enhance the company’s production capacity to meet rising demand for pasteurized egg products in both local and export markets.
The company also provided updates on additional expansion projects. Orders have been placed for plant and equipment for a new dried egg powder production facility and letters of credit have been established for the required machinery. Construction activities for the project have already begun and the development is progressing according to plan.
In addition, the company is moving forward with a backward integration initiative through poultry layer farming. According to the disclosure, the required land has been acquired and equipment orders have been placed, while construction of the farming infrastructure has also commenced. These initiatives are aimed at strengthening supply chain integration and improving operational efficiency.
Barkat Frisian Agro Limited operates in Pakistan’s value added egg products sector and specializes in pasteurized egg-based food ingredients used by food processors, bakeries and export markets. The company was listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange following its initial public offering in recent years as part of plans to expand production capacity and develop export oriented egg processing facilities. It focuses on producing liquid egg products, pasteurized egg mixtures and other value added egg derivatives for industrial food applications.
