The Kingsmen have been active in the market as they build a squad for the expanded eight-team season. Earlier, the franchise confirmed the signing of Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, one of the most established names in T20 cricket.

Glenn Maxwell has featured in 129 T20 internationals for Australia, scoring 2,897 runs at a strike rate of 158.42, including five hundreds and 12 fifties, while also taking 49 wickets with his off-spin. His experience stretches across major leagues worldwide, and in overall T20 cricket he has 10,986 runs from 502 matches at a strike rate of 154.16, alongside eight centuries, 58 half-centuries and 196 wickets.

Off the field, Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen are also putting experienced leadership in place. The franchise was purchased by Fawad Sarwar’s Kingsmen Group for Rs. 1.75 billion (around $6.25 million) and has retained a group of emerging local players, including Saim Ayub, Usman Khan, Maaz Sadaqat and Akif Javed.

The coaching unit includes former Australia pacer Jason Gillespie as head coach, with Grant Bradburn appointed as fielding coach, as the Kingsmen prepare for their first season in the PSL.
