Motorway Police Issue Thousands of Challans in Speed Limit Crackdown

The National Highways and Motorway Police has issued more than 12,990 challans for speed limit violations as part of an ongoing enforcement campaign in its Central Region.

According to officials, the campaign follows the implementation of a zero-tolerance policy against overspeeding to improve road safety and reduce traffic accidents.

Details show that MC-1 Lahore issued 5,641 challans for violating the newly introduced speed limits. Meanwhile, authorities in the N-5 Central Zone of Lahore issued 3,597 challans during a focused crackdown on highway violations.

A spokesperson for the Central Region said strict enforcement on national highways will continue, with authorities intensifying operations against drivers who exceed speed limits.

Spokesperson Syed Imran Ahmed emphasized that officials will continue to take indiscriminate action against traffic law violations to ensure safer travel and reduce road accidents across the region.
