Gold Rate Drops by Nearly Rs. 50,000 in Pakistan

Gold in Pakistan took a sharp dip on Monday, mirroring the big slump in global markets which saw bullion drop near $4,400 per ounce.

The price of one tola fell by Rs. 43,500 to Rs. 447,762, while 10 grams dropped to Rs. 383,883, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

On Friday, gold plunged to Rs. 491,362 per tola after losing Rs. 8,100 during the session.

The international market, meanwhile, saw gold prices decline by $436, bringing the rate to $4,250 per ounce, with an additional $20 premium.

Silver also depreciated after losing Rs. 800 to settle at Rs. 6,884 per tola.
