Oppo has released the first teaser for the Find X9 Ultra, just a day after confirming the phone’s launch timeline. A new leak has also revealed its expected launch and sales schedule.
10x Periscope Telephoto Camera Confirmed
Oppo Find series product manager Zhuo Shijie confirmed that the Find X9 Ultra will feature a Hasselblad-branded periscope telephoto camera with 10x optical zoom.
In a Weibo post, Shijie shared details of the system, which offers 230mm native optical zoom and up to 460mm optical quality zoom. The setup uses a custom 50MP Samsung JNL fusion sensor with an f/3.5 aperture and gimbal-level optical image stabilization.
New Optical Design and Enhancements
The camera system introduces a five-reflection prism design that reduces the optical path length to 29mm, compared to 41mm in traditional L-shaped periscope setups.
Oppo has also added triple active optical calibration and a specialized ND coating on the prism to improve zoom performance.
The company shared a sample shot taken at 10x zoom and compared it with an image captured using a 10x teleconverter on another smartphone.
