CDA to Build Govt-Owned Capitol House in Islamabad

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is planning to construct a Capitol House in Islamabad, modeled on existing provincial houses operating in the federal capital.

Sources told ProPakistani the project is currently in the design phase, and further progress will depend on completion of formal approvals and allocation of funds.

The proposed facility will follow the pattern of established residences such as Punjab House, Sindh House, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House, Balochistan House, Kashmir House and Gilgit House.

Officials said the Capitol House will provide official accommodation and administrative space for the capital administration, helping streamline government operations and improve coordination.

Once the design is finalized, the CDA will move forward with approvals and funding, after which construction is expected to be completed within one year, subject to timely execution of procedural requirements.

  • Nonsense ppl. Nonsense plans. The government otherwise lacks money for the general public areas, CDA sectors, for example.
