Mari Energies Limited has announced the commencement of gas and condensate production from the Spinwam 1 discovery located in the Waziristan Block of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the Extended Well Testing phase.
According to the company’s disclosure submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the well has been completed in the Lockhart reservoir and is currently producing around 40 million standard cubic feet of gas per day along with nearly 200 barrels per day of condensate.
With the addition of this new output, the early production facilities established at Shewa will now operate at full capacity. Total production from both the Shewa and Spinwam wells is expected to reach around 100 MMscfd of gas and nearly 800 barrels per day of condensate.
Mari Energies is the operator of the Waziristan Block with a 55 percent working interest, while Oil and Gas Development Company Limited holds 35 percent and Orient Petroleum Inc. holds 10 percent as joint venture partners.
