Honor X80i Debuts But Doesn’t Fit Anywhere in Company’s Entire Lineup

Honor has introduced the X80i in China, expanding its X-series lineup with a device focused on battery capacity, display brightness, and mid-range performance.

The smartphone is also the first to feature MediaTek’s Dimensity 6500 chipset.

Design and Display

The Honor X80i features a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,200 x 2,600 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The panel is rated for up to 6,500 nits of peak local brightness. The device also carries an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance. It is available in black, green, pink, and white color options.

Internals and Software

The phone is powered by the Dimensity 6500 chipset, which has not yet been officially announced by MediaTek.

According to Honor’s listing, the chip includes an octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.6GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores running at 2.0GHz. It also features a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

The device is configurable with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. On the software side, the X80i runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16 and includes Honor’s AI features.

Cameras

The Honor X80i features a 50MP main rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture, along with an unspecified secondary sensor and an LED flash.

Battery and Pricing

The device is equipped with a 7,000mAh battery. According to Honor’s internal testing, it can deliver up to 22 hours of video playback. It supports 45W wired charging.

Pricing starts at $290 for the 8GB/128GB model and goes up to $407 for the 12GB/512GB version. The phone is already listed on Honor’s official online store in China, with shipments scheduled to begin on April 10.
