Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in Karachi on April 6 due to an incoming weather system.
According to the Met Office, a westerly wave is expected to enter Balochistan from Iran on April 5 and will influence weather conditions in Sindh. Under the influence of this system, thunderstorms, rainfall, and occasional hail are expected in Sukkur, Kashmore, and Ghotki on April 6.
The development follows heavy rainfall in Karachi on Thursday that resulted in at least seven deaths and left three others injured in rain-related incidents.
In its latest forecast, the PMD said light to moderate rain is also expected in several districts, including Jamshoro, Dadu, Kambar Shahdadkot, Naushahro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Matiari, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Thatta, Badin, and Sujawal.
