Punjab Clarifies School Closure Notification Until April 25

The Punjab School Education Department has responded to a notification circulating on social media claiming that all schools across the province would remain closed from April 6 to April 25, 2026, citing rising petrol prices.

Clarifying the matter, the department said no such decision has been taken. A spokesperson for the education minister, Noor Ul Huda, said the notification is fabricated and urged the public to rely only on official announcements.

He also advised citizens to avoid sharing unverified information, warning that such content can cause confusion among parents and students.
