Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Predicted in Major Punjab City

Weather authorities have forecast a fresh spell of unstable weather across Punjab, with Lahore likely to experience rain, thunderstorms, strong winds in the coming days.

In Lahore, the day began with slightly cool weather and clear skies at sunrise. The city’s temperature was recorded at 23°C, while the Meteorological Department said temperatures are likely to remain between 17°C and 28°C during the day. Humidity was recorded at 49 percent, while wind speed stood at 3 kilometers per hour.

According to the weather department, rain is expected from April 6 to April 9 in Lahore and several other parts of the country. In Lahore, the forecast includes rain with strong winds and thunderstorms, while snowfall is also expected in upper areas.

Authorities said the rain is likely to bring temperatures down further. However, they also warned that strong winds and dust storms could pose a risk to weak infrastructure.

In view of the expected weather conditions, the Meteorological Department has directed all relevant institutions to remain on alert.
