Pakistan will launch Hajj 2026 flight operations on April 18, introducing a new Lahore-to-Saudi Arabia route to improve travel access for pilgrims, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf announced.
Speaking to PTV News in Riyadh, the minister said all arrangements for Hajj 2026 are fully prepared without any additional cost for 180,000 pilgrims. This includes 120,000 under the government scheme and 60,000 through private operators.
The newly added Lahore route is aimed at facilitating easier travel for pilgrims, while flights from other cities will continue as scheduled. Previously, the primary Hajj route operated from Karachi and Islamabad.
Yousuf emphasized that all operations, including flights, accommodations, and transportation, will be managed in a smooth and organized manner to ensure the comfort and safety of pilgrims.
He added that the Ministry of Religious Affairs will maintain close coordination with private companies to regulate Umrah services, accommodations, catering, and transport.
The minister stated that every effort is being made to provide high-quality arrangements and that the goal is to make Hajj 2026 exemplary in terms of management and facilities.
He also reaffirmed the strong relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, appreciating the host country’s support and arrangements for Pakistani pilgrims.
Pakistan will fully utilize its Hajj quota this year while maintaining high standards, reflecting the commitment of both governments to ensuring a safe and memorable pilgrimage experience.
