Excise Offices to Operate 24 Hours for Motorcycle Registration

The Sindh Excise and Taxation Department has announced that its offices will remain open 24 hours to facilitate motorcycle registration and ownership transfers for citizens.

The initiative comes after the government announced a petrol subsidy for motorcycle owners, which requires the vehicle to be registered in the owner’s name to qualify for the relief.

Director General Irfan Memon said the step has been taken to make the registration and transfer process easier and faster for the public.

He urged citizens to immediately register their motorcycles in their own names to benefit from the government’s subsidy program.

The DG added that the department will also set up additional service counters to handle the increased number of registration and transfer requests and ensure smooth processing for applicants.
