JazzWorld Highlights Continued Access to Healthcare and Insurance Through Apna Clinic and FikrFree on World Health Day

This World Health Day, JazzWorld highlights its efforts to remove barriers to healthcare and financial protection through its digital lifestyle platforms, Apna Clinic and FikrFree, expanding access to essential services for millions across Pakistan. By combining telemedicine, ePharmacy, diagnostics, and digital insurance, these platforms are helping address longstanding gaps in healthcare availability and insurance penetration, particularly for underserved communities and women.

Pakistan continues to face structural challenges in healthcare access and insurance coverage. With fewer than one doctor per 1,000 people and significant disparities between urban and rural healthcare availability, access to timely medical care remains uneven.

Out-of-pocket spending accounts for over 60% of total healthcare expenditure, placing a heavy financial burden on households, while insurance penetration remains in the low single digits, leaving the majority of the population without financial protection. Women, in particular, face additional barriers including mobility constraints, affordability challenges, and limited access to dedicated healthcare services, underscoring the need for inclusive, digitally enabled solutions.

Apna Clinic, JazzWorld’s AI-powered health-tech platform, is improving healthcare accessibility by connecting users to doctors, medicines, and diagnostics through a single digital platform. With 600,000 monthly active users, over 7,000 doctors onboarded, and an average of 1,600 consultations daily, Apna Clinic is expanding access to trusted, quality healthcare. Services such as 24/7 Instant Doctor consultations, integrated lab testing, and pharmacy support provide convenient, end-to-end care, while a diverse panel of qualified specialists — including female-specific doctor categories such as gynecologists — helps address critical gender-based access gaps and extend reliable healthcare to underserved communities.

Complementing this, FikrFree, JazzWorld’s InsurTech platform, is addressing financial protection gaps by offering affordable insurance across 18 categories, including health, life, personal accident, and women-focused plans. The platform has scaled to 13 million monthly active users and enabled 15 million insurance policies, reflecting strong adoption of digital insurance solutions. Women currently account for 30% of users, supported by tailored offerings such as Women Health Insurance and Women Critical Illness plans designed to expand coverage and financial resilience.

Together, Apna Clinic and FikrFree create an integrated HealthTech and InsurTech ecosystem—linking consultation, treatment, and financial protection, to enable proactive healthcare management and reduce reliance on cash-based spending. This approach also strengthens women’s empowerment by enabling private consultations, independent insurance ownership, and improved access to essential health services.

Ali Fahd, President Jazz Lifestyle Ventures (JLV), said: “Healthcare access and financial protection remain two of Pakistan’s most pressing challenges. Through Apna Clinic and FikrFree, we are removing key barriers by making consultations, medicines, and insurance accessible through digital platforms. Our focus is on scale and inclusion, particularly empowering women with independent access to healthcare and protection, aligned with JazzWorld’s purpose of delivering a Better Life for All.”

As Pakistan observes World Health Day, JazzWorld continues to expand these platforms to bridge healthcare and insurance gaps, strengthen financial resilience, and advance inclusive access to essential services through technology-led innovation.
