Sindh Govt Launches Pre-Monsoon Livestock Vaccination Drive

The Sindh government has launched a province-wide vaccination campaign to safeguard livestock from seasonal diseases ahead of the monsoon season.

The initiative, titled Pre-Monsoon Vaccination Program 2026–27, was inaugurated on Monday at the Government Veterinary Hospital in Landhi by Muhammad Ali Malkani.

Speaking at the launch, the minister emphasized that the program embodies the principle “prevention is better than cure”.

He noted that veterinary facilities across Sindh are fully prepared, with sufficient vaccines and arrangements in place for the campaign’s smooth execution.

Karachi, home to one of the world’s largest cattle markets, was highlighted as a critical area for the vaccination drive.

The minister urged livestock owners to utilize the campaign to protect their animals and ensure prosperity for both individual farmers and the broader provincial economy.

Malkani also assured traders and farmers that the government is committed to finding sustainable solutions to their challenges by engaging all stakeholders, while maximizing resources for the health and economic upliftment of the livestock community.
