Iran Demands Cash and Israel to Leave Lebanon Ahead of Islamabad Talks

Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on Friday demanded two must-have conditions to be implemented before negotiations can proceed with the US team in Islamabad.

In a statement posted on X, Ghalibaf said Israel must withdraw from Lebanon and the unfreezing of Iran’s blocked financial assets.

He added that both conditions must be met before any formal negotiations can begin.

The remarks come as Pakistan prepares to host high-stakes US-Iran talks in Islamabad aimed at stabilizing a fragile regional ceasefire framework. Tehran’s position is being seen as strong enough to get the deal done as quickly as possible.
