OGRA Seizes 135,000 Liters of Adulterated Fuel in Major Raid

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has imposed a fine of Rs11 million on a petrol pump owner in Muzaffargarh for mixing harmful chemicals in fuel, as part of its ongoing crackdown on adulteration and illegal storage.

According to officials, OGRA took action against Rana Filling Station after a media report exposed illegal oil storage practices.

During a raid, authorities discovered over 135,000 liters of petrol and diesel stored without a valid license.

Laboratory tests confirmed the presence of chemical adulterants in both petrol and diesel, posing serious risks to vehicles and public safety.

Investigators found that the fuel was being mixed with chemicals and distributed to various areas.

OGRA has cancelled the station’s No Objection Certificate (NOC) and ordered the seizure of machinery, storage tanks, and other equipment.

The district administration has also been directed to take control of all petroleum products on-site.

The regulator further announced action against the private oil company associated with the pump, reiterating a zero-tolerance policy against illegal practices in the fuel sector.
