Vivo’s Next Foldable Could Get a Massive Camera and Battery Upgrade

Vivo is expected to launch the successor to the Vivo X Fold 5, and early details about the upcoming Vivo X Fold 6 have started to emerge.

While the device is still some time away, a new leak offers an early look at what the company may be planning.

Possible 200MP Main Camera

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the X Fold 6 could feature a 200MP primary camera.

If accurate, this sensor may be the same one used in the X300 and X300 Pro models. It is also slightly larger than the 50MP sensor used in the X Fold 5, which could result in changes to the camera module design.

Larger Battery Expected

The leak suggests that the device may include a battery with a rated capacity of 6,760mAh, with a typical value closer to 7,000mAh.

This would represent an increase over the 6,000mAh battery found in the X Fold 5.

Telephoto and Close-Up Features

The X Fold 6 is also said to include a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with telemacro support.

This setup would allow for close-up photography and appears to build on similar systems used in previous Vivo devices.

Performance and Design

Details about performance remain limited, but the device is expected to use a flagship Snapdragon processor.

While the exact model has not been confirmed, speculation points to a possible upgrade from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 used in the current model to a newer generation chip.

The leak also mentions a refreshed design language and support for additional accessories, though specific details were not provided.

Launch Timeline

As with previous models, the X Fold 6 is expected to launch first in China, followed by a wider release in other markets.
